PRAYERS PLEASE

AS SOME OF YOU MAY HAVE HEARD, OUR HOSPITAL IS CLOSING (PHYSICIANS MEDICAL CENTER-CARRAWAY).  IT IS SUCH A SAD THING.  THE HOSPITAL HAS BEEN IN BIRMINGHAM FOR 100 YEARS, BUT MORE THAN THAT ABOUT 700 PEOPLE ARE OUT OF JOBS.  I WAS EMPLOYED BY THE HOSPITAL TOO, SO YESTERDAY WAS MY LAST DAY.  THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT DR. DEWITT IS GOING TO TAKE ME WITH HIS PRACTICE.  I THANK GOD FOR THIS, BUT I FEEL BAD FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT HAVE A JOB.  WE WILL ALSO LOSE OUR INSURANCE THE 30TH OF NOVEMBER WITH NO OPTION TO CONTINUE WITH COBRA, AGAIN I WILL BE OK WITH THAT AS I WILL TAKE TOM'S (DH) INSURANCE.  THERE ARE SOME THAT UNLESS THEY CAN FIND A JOB WILL BE WITHOUT INSURANCE.  IT JUST BREAKS MY HEART, SO PLEASE KEEP ALL OF THESE PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES IN YOUR PRAYERS.  IT IS GOING TO BE A HARD TIME FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE AND IT WAS HARD ALREADY FOR MOST.  PLEASE PRAY FOR DR. DEWITT AND HIS PRACTICE AS WE GO THROUGH THIS TRANSITION.

I read this earlier yesterday but did not want to post it out of respect for you.  Carraway is one of the best hospitals I have ever seen and for this to happen is unheard of. 

Thankfully you will have "a place to go" but my heart goes out to the others that do not.  This is a bad time of year to hear this news.

Prayers go out to you and all others at Carraway.

WOW!  I can't believe this hospital is closing!  Such a shocker!  All of My Dr.s are there!  My PCP  is Dr. Walter Dunn.  I have to find out where he and Dr. Joe Teague (my endocrinologist) have gone.  Along with my Podiotrist, Dr. Pakaric (spelling)!  None of them have told me anything.  I am to see Dr. Teague in 2 weeks too.

I am so sorry to hear that the hospital is closing.  My experience there a year ago was very pleasant.  I am glad you will continue with Dr. DeWitt.  I hope to see you in January at my checkup with Dr. DeWitt.

I so hate to hear that. I had a wonderful experience at Carraway with both my surgeries. Which hospital will Dr. DeWitt have privileges? I would let that man cut my head off if he thought I needed it. My prayers are with you all. Please keep my family in your prayers as well. My husband was laid off almost a month ago and to date, no job. Got a call but was for only part time. He was going to have to drive 1 hour (one way) to work 20 hours per week with no benefits. Please pray that the God will send the right thing along soon.

My prayers are with you and all the people at Carraway! I saw this on the news yesterday and immediately thought of you! I'm so glad that Dr. Dewitt is going to take you with his practice! I will continue to keep all the others in my prayers that they are able to find a job!

This is the first I've heard this and it is awful. Our nation is in so much trouble right now. So many people are losing their jobs, so much sickness going around, so many harsh things being said. God PLEASE HELP US!! I had already noticed so many restaurants here in Montgomery that are now only open certain hours and a lot are closing at night. Bill Heard dealership has gone bankrupt here in town. People just don't seem to see the need of having God in their lives right now.

My prayers are with all these that have lost jobs, insurance, etc. My heart brakes for all.
