Hey my name is Carmen, and I am originally from Minnesota. My husband is from Alabama and that is why I am here. I have been here almost 4 years and I still really dont have a whole lot of friend to talk to. I am going to be going through the whole Gastric Bypass Experience in hopefully Feb. and it would be really nice to be able to talk to some people who know what I am going through right now. So if any of you know of any groups or anything that would be great.
Thanks
Carmen

Thanks you guys!! I am really scared about everything (I've never had Major surgery before). Thanks for your support!! How are you guys doing with everything? Do you regret anything about the surgery?
Thanks Again,
Carmen

Hi Carmen. The only thing I regret is I didn't have it sooner. Feel great and not a single problem. I can eat anything just not a lot of sugar. It puts me to sleep. So as long as I stay under 10 gram of sugar I'm fine. Good luck. Miss Mary

Carmen...I would do it again in a heartbeat.  I have had NO complications and can eat pretty much whatever, with the exception of a lot of sugar.  It makes me get sick if I eat over 10 grms.  Also, I cannot eat steak or very dry meat of any kind, but you know...I don't miss it at all.  You will do great I am sure!!!  There is NOTHING I regret about having this surgery except maybe the expense of buying new clothes...nah...I don't regret that either   I love shopping for clothes now.

sweetie, you're gonna love dr. facundus! i have a lot of respect for both him and dr. foreman. they've both performed surgeries on me and i've received excellent care in their hands. (now, the office staff is another story but i believe that issue has been resolved...)

i personally HAVE had complications (several in fact) but i don't regret having this surgery for one second! i'm nearly two years out now and i can eat anything i want with the exception of really tough and/or dry meats (or any reheated meats.)

look at me! look at me!

this was me the halloween before i had surgery. so, about a month pre-op and 254 pounds:

wednesday

then this is a pic of me last halloween, nearly a year post-op. i weighed 123 in this picture which was my original goal

butterfly

i don't have 3-way pics yet this year but i DO have my "costume" all picked out, lols. it's a beautiful snake skin patterened dress that martitalinda sent me. i apologize for the quality of the photos though. my camera just doesn't like mirrors anywho, this will be me THIS halloween, nearly two years post-op and weighing 100 pounds even:

Dear I hate to bust your bubble but the problems are NOT solved with the office staff. Don't get me started on that. Love, Miss Mary

well, the problems that *I* was having with the staff are *mostly* solved, lols. i know that there are still issues... but i'm satisfied with what i'm dealing with *right now*. (and of course, that could change at any moment, lols!!)
