I was just told that I am going to Mexico!!!!!!  Yeppers that is right.  I will not be going for another 7 months but I am sooooo EXCITED.  If the Lord is willing, I will be flying out on May 24th, 2009 to see my newly built home!  I CAN'T WAIT.

My hubby and I talked abotuthe WLS and we decided to go with another option.  So we can now take the $$$ we were planning for that and use it for our house.  Can you believe that $3,000 can build a gorgeous house in Mexico.  That right and it is a gorgeous house designed by none other than MUAH!  OMG I cant sleep now that I talked to DH brother and made the final plans.  My BL told me that it will only take about 2 months at the max to build so that means when I arrive I get to see my new home, waiting on us to come down for a REAL vacation.

Until my youngest gets out of school in 3 more years, my step son is going to live in the house and we will be traveling down to use it as a vacation spot until we can actually live in it!  I have only owned 1 home in my life, that was totally all mine....now I will have this and it is what I WANT not what was already there and hoping that I would like it!!!!

Ok Ok enough gabbing.  Thanks for listening.  I love you all!

Congrats Susan!! My DH works with a lot of Hendorans. They come in the country work for a year and go home and build the house of their dreams. For less than 10,000 they get land and they tell us a mansion for their families. I recently read an article where a lot of people when they retire go to Mexico because of fixed incomes its cheapier to live. Told my hubby hmmm...yeah ok he's not leaving the country maybe when we retire!! We will have to visit ;) I am praying for you. Keep your dreams alive and inspire even more!

Congratulations Susan!!!!!  John and I were talking the other day about maybe heading down that way after I retire.  I am sure we won't because of our children, but it was  a great thought.  I love Mexico.

We have several bait shop customers that are from Mexico.  They told me several times that we live in a mansion.    I live in a farmhouse that is nearly 100 years old that needs more work than we can ever afford.  Maybe we need to visit south of the border

Does this mean you are giving up on your dream of WLS and taking a mansion in Mexico instead?

Thanks everyone for the positive thoughts and support.  Oh yeah you can build a huge house there for next to nothing and it be a "mansion" so to speak.  Ours is going to be simple but nice!  I think I am most excited because I get to pick out everythign in it and how I want it!  It is so much fun.  Tino and I went today to WalMart to pick out paint colors.  OMGosh so many pretty colors and only so many rooms....LOL!  Desicions Desicions   One of the good things about of this is we already have property so no money will be spent for that.

Thanks Gwen for the inlargement, I did not know it was so small  wow it does look alot better.  As for giving up the dream...NAH but I have decided to go with a a personal trainer at he gym near my work 3 times a week and also go to the Dr right next door to my work for the B-12, B-6, and one other shot, plus take a prescribed appetite suppresant and work my butt off.  Before I would simply eat and eat and eat...for no reason or when stressed...I in a way could of cared less what I looked like but you knwo what I am SICK TO DEATH OF BEING FAT and I am taking a stand and am going to loose this weight come HELL or HIGH WATER.....and have a house...LOL!  It may come to me having the surgery after all, later on downt he road but for now I am staying positive and doing lots of praying for help fromt he Lord!

Certain parts of Mexico is gorgeous the others well...its not so gorgeous.  We will be living in Cordoba, Veracruz!  When you get a chance google it...its awsome.

Thanks again my friends for the warm wishes and blessings.  Anyone wanna go to Mexico with me?  Any and everyone is welcome to join me for a weeks vacation to Mexico.

Susan

You WILL have your mansion.  Whether it be a 1 room shack or a house made out of gold. As long as your family is with you then it is a mansion.  You can lose the weight.  It might be slower but it will come off.  Sometimes we try to hard.  Watch the carbs and eat protein first.  Research foods eaten by diabetics and adjust your meals accordingly.  You will be amazed at the difference you will see in yourself.

One thing is for certain, your OH family will be here to support you.
