E-Card Christmas Cards for Donna?

I am thinking about compiling a list of email addresses and sending out e-cards for Christmas this year.  The money saved from postage and purchased cards, could then be donated to the American Diabetes Assoc in Donna's Taylor's name.  If you're interested, please pm me with your email address (or your permission to add your name/address, if I already have your email address).  The postage alone for 25 cards would be $10.25...plus the cost of the cards would be at least $15.  Just think how much would go to the ADA in Donna's name, if we all did that!  If you have another cause that's close to your heart, you could still join the list and donate there. Alone, $15 doesn't sound like much...but $15 times 25 people is $375.  Together we could make a difference and save the trees all at the same time!  What do you think?

i LOVE THE IDEA!  Being a juvinile diabetic myself, along with my deceased Mom and Maw Maw...I LOVE THE CAUSE!  Thanks for the wonderful idea Rhonda.  Also, during the recent death of my sister in law, instead of sending a plant or flowers we made a donation in her memory to the kidney foundation, also of which I am in renal failure, so I do believe in these causes greatly.  I hope there comes a day and tomorrow wouldn't be soon enough for a treatment for my kidney disease or my diabetes

I know what you mean.  I was diabetic prior to surgery as well...but mine was Type II.  Juvenile Diabetes is so much worse simply because it's so hard to control.  Diabetes runs all in my family also.  Hopefully, a cure...or at least a way to control it...can be found in my children or grandchildren's lifetime.

Like you..I have other "causes" as well.  My best friends son (also my "first" born child) just lost his 2 day old son in June.  His wife has an online collection site to raise money to buy another cooling blanket for Huntsville Hospital NICU.  They only have one and if it had been iun use when their son was born, he would have been transferred to a hospital farther away and they possibly wouldn't have been able to be with him since she had to have a c'section.  I'll probably split my Chrismas Card donations between the two.

What a wonderful way to honor Donna not to mention help others! This is what Christmas is all about - reaching out with the love and hope of JESUS!!

I got Donna's family a t-shirt, Tim (her nephew) a t-shirt, sent them a ribbon like we wore at the Walk and included a card I sent it out last week. I pray it wasn't too soon but wanted them to know how precious she was to ALL of us!!!

That was a good idea!  Even if it's too soon, they'll probably just put it up and pull it out later to cherish.

I"ll add you to the list...

Count me in my friend!  THIS IS A WONDERFUL IDEA!!  My GM died from complications of diabetes, momma has diabetes, my dad had it, I had it, and both sisters are diabetics.  I am a FIRM believer in this support.  Let's do this!!!  THANK YOU!  I thought about Donna earlier.  I was cleaning out kitchen cabinets and I saw the cookware and dishes she sent me when we had the fire.  Donna was so loving and giving.  We can give back to a cause that she would approve of in her memory.

Will do.  I think we have all been touched in some way by someone with diabetes.  But Donna was special to so many people.  There's nobody else like her...
