Just Be...
a little bit more kinder, a bit more understanding, a bit more patient with others.
Does this describe you?
I know at times it doesn't describe me, but I want to ENCOURAGE you today to dig deep within yourself to find a place in your heart to be a bit more kinder to others...a bit more understanding, a bit more patient.
Maybe you don't think they deserve, and maybe they don't, but maybe you don't know what is going on DEEP DOWN INSIDE THEIR SPIRIT AND THEIR SOUL!
What makes me post this post???
I checked in yesterday at one of my regular Inns. I have been coming here for a year now. Many of the staff here KNOW me by my first name, and they treat me well.
One of their own staff died 9/22/08. He took his own life. You couldn't ask for a sweeter, nicer guy. What a tremendous loss!
As you think about my post, know I am talking/posting to myself as well.
I want to ENCOURAGE you today to BE KIND, ENCOURAGE SOMEONE & KNOW that THEY TOO MAY BE HURTING DEEP DOWN INSIDE. WE NEED EACH OTHER TO BUILD EACH OTHER UP NOT to tear each other down!!!
I LOVE you all!
Jackie

Hey Jackie
you are soooo right! we need to build each other up! It hurts so much when someone tears us down! We are here to support one another, not tell each other what we do wrong or how bad we are. Everybody messes up time to time, but we need to support them thru the bad times as well as the good times. Thanks for the great post!
Love Ya!

Thank you for posting this today. I know I have a big open heart and sometimes I expose it so much that I get it broken..words hurt even when you don't think they do..and a soft kind word spoken to someone having a bad day means so much..sometimes for those the words you speak may be the only ones they hear today..and you wouldn't want the words to be negative.

Oh Jackie...I appreciate this so much. I know that I need to be kinder and treat people better. We never know when it might be the last time we can hug or tell someone we love them. I hope that I keep this in mind and never let a chance go by to help or love someone who needs me. We should all have the love of Christ in our hearts, but often, I let my own feelings override that love. Thanks so much. I love you!!!!
Thank You Jackie for this..We all need each other!!

Your post makes me plunb ashamed of myself. It's been a baaaaad morning. Rain the whole bus trip. I got 3 new kids yesterday. They had road my bus before and made my life a misery. Same thing today. My 3-4-5 graders were so loud today that I had to take my hearing aide out. Had to stop the bus with them 4 different times. Would not be quite at all. Then to top it off a 5th grader brought a live frog to the front of the bus wanting to let it out the door. I chewed her out for bringing the frog on the bus then found out it was her 3rd grade sister, so I chewed her out. I missed a pick up. The boy road last year and hasn't road this year at all and he was standing out and I just wasn't looking for him. His daddy brought him to the bus farther on the route just raising cane. I told him if the child was going to go 6 months without riding he needed to call and let me know he was going to ride. Needless to say the man wasn;t a happy camper but then neither was I. If I had been ready(timewise) for retirement I would have walked this morning. Then I got my 30 high school boys on the bus and let me tell you I was dreading that 10 minute trip. Three different boys told me how much they loved me and how they appreciate all I do for them. When everybody got off I had a good cry now I'm ready to face the world. Maybe I can be a little kinder to all of them this afternoon. If fact I may copy Jackies post and make them read it so they will be a little kinder to me. It must be a full moon because it sure brought out the monsters in my middle school students. Ya'll pray that I make it home this afternoon without mishap. Maybe it will quit raining by then. Love, Miss Mary
Miss Mary...I appreciate so much what you do. That is a hard job with little appreciation. My mother is an aid on a special bus. She loves her children on the bus, but she often has a couple that deal her fits, well, really the parents seem to be worse than the children. I have heard many stories from momma and I know that you all are so special and so under appreciated, so I just want to say "thank you".
