BELLAMY UPDATE

I just got off the phone with Becky Bellamy. The Bellamy family request and would appreciate your prayers.

There was a cath perfomed today on Mike's Dad, and the results were not good. He has a large amount of blockage, some vessels totally occluded--and has signifigant heart damage. He Ejection Fraction is only
at 20% and should be in the rage of 70% according to his Cardiologist.

They considered going ahead with CABG or Bypass surgery and decided to delay the surgery because they feel that they need time to try and strengthen the heart prior to attemptimg the surgery.

Mr. Bellamy will be in the hospital through the weekend and possibly early into next week. They are unsure at this time if or when they will proceed with the surgery.

Mike and Becky are leaving the hospital now to pack and will be leaving in the next hour or so, heading back home for a few days to take care of some things at home and will be returning to Tennessee next week.

Needless to say, this has been stressful on all of them.
Becky ask that you especially remember Mike in prayer as he is having some problems with a rash all over his body. It is felt that this is a nervous reaction to the stress of this situation. Mike will be seeing his doctor tomorrow to try and get this under control. The rash has to be uncomfortable for him.

So--if you can, please take a few minutes and say a prayer for the Bellamy family--Mikes dad for his health and for the rest of the family for safe travel home tonight and the courage and strength to face the difficult days and decisions that will lie ahead of them.

They are in my prayers, Carolyn.   She just called and she is exhausted.  She said she is going to get an address for Mr. Bellamy to send him cards because he is so down right now.  Maybe some of us could send a card to help cheer him a bit.  Thanks so much for posting this Carolyn.  You have a great evening.

I think sending cards sounds like a great idea. It is such and easy thing to do and can brighten ones day so much!

You have a nice evening too....Honestly, I have already come home from work--showered and have my jammies on and am in my bed!

I would love to send him a card...and I think it is a great idea to shower him with love using cards.  We all need a pick me up in our lives every now & then.
