The youth rally went well - we had about 20 youth which is good considering Madison had its street festival today and the schools around here started fall break. The focus of the rally was based off of 1 Timothy 4:12. I spoke about leading by how we live life. I spoke about how we need to look at ourselves thru Christ's eyes not base our worth on what the world tells us. I got a lot of positive feedback from it and I didn't cause too many rolling of the eyes from the teens looking at a 31 yo woman talking. Loretta I'll have to let you know when we have next years planned to see if you have anyone who wants to travel north!
We didn't make it to my work picnic there just wasn't any time left. I took some clothes back to Old Navy after I tried them on back at home I just wasn't happy with the fit. I'll try again next week I guess.
I need to check on the apple spice and Dr. Pepper cakes that I have in the over for tomorrow. The rest of the food I'll fix in the morning. I'm just about worn out for the nite and ready for bed (as you can tell by my rambling!)
Good night everyone!!

Noel, I am so proud of you. Kyle and I love working with our youth too. I'll bet you even know Bob Evans....he's over the ASDNYI. Do you ever go to family camp? We'll for sure have to plan on going next year to meet up if not before then. I can't wait to meet you. I'm so excited. Please let me know next time ya'll have something going on.
We are so looking forward to tomorrow. It's going to be an awesome day. Pastor called a little while ago to talk to Kyle about tomorrow, but Kyle is at work till 9. Did ya'll have anyone go on the Bahamas Mission trip this summer? I look forward to talking to you more and getting to know you better.

Thanks :) My husband and son's went to kids camp (I wasn't able to get the time off from work.) I don't know Bob but we're pretty new to the Nazarene church (we were Wesleyan church planters before joining the Nazarene church about 2 years ago.)This year I'm planning on trying to take the week off and all of us will be down there! Do you know or met Lewis Martin? He and his wife Tracey are very involved with camp and usually stay there the whole week. I'm thinking about planning a women's event in January. I'm starting a bible study in two weeks called The Frazzled Female based on Cyndi Woods' book. One of the ladies at another Huntsville church does hair so we might do a spa-like retreat!
We didn't have anyone go on the Bahamas mission trip. We're hoping to become more involved. We did have some that went on a work and witness trip to NYC during the summer. Madison is a pretty small church averaging about 70 people on Sundays.
We'll be at church early to help with the setup and I'll most likely go between the service and checking on all the food for the potluck. DH is recording the service for our video web-casting so I'll get the chance to see it again!
We'll have to plan a get together. The only thing that I know of that would be anywhere close to you is a trip to Boley, Al next week for a quiz meet.
Gotta get the kids into bed and take the last cake out of the oven.
Take care!

Oh my goodness, I was RAISED in the Wesleyan Church and only left 12 years ago when we started going to the Nazarene church by our house. We switched Nazarene churches about 2 1/2 years ago and the one we go to now is about 3 miles from our new home. I can't wait to talk to you some more. Still trying to get my grandson down to sleep. He was asleep till his Papa came in and woke him up.....now he's at it again. LOL He loves his Papa.
