What's up Bama???
Good evening and how is everyone? We had a great day at work! Heart to Heart Hospice (the company I work for) hosted a pep ralley at a assited living center where we have several patients. The high school cheerleaders came over and did cheers and a dance for them. The local tv station came and filmed it. We put face tattoos (#1, BIg Red, Cardinal Heads etc) on al the residents and gave them pompoms. All the residents were dressed in red or blue (our school colors). We practiced "GO Team GO" before the cheerleaders arrived. The residents had such a wonderful time! So did all the adults! After the pep ralley, we served them grilled hotdogs, chips, dip, baked beans and cookies. We also watched a game film after supper. It did my heart good to see them have such a good time!!! I love what I do, how about you??

It just touched my heart as I read your writings! I could tell that you have such compassion for your job. I had about 4 patients come in today and tell me that someone in their family had been diagnosed with cancer. That is just so sad. You be blessed in all you do!

Thank you so much! I do have compassion for what I do as well as our patients. There are wonderful days like today and then there are days when you cry because you can't "fix" something that is in need of being mended (broken hearts, torn families, etc). It is tough when someone has just been diagnosed. I feel for you, it i hard to have the right words to comfort in those situations. Each day is a blessing and I try to be a blessing to others! To God be the glory.
