Usually Phenergan will make you sleepy. Demerol "can" make you sleepy. Xanax will relax you and may make you sleepy.
Soooo, more than likely, you will be very, very relaxed and possibly (more than likely) very sleepy.
Let me know tomorrow how it effects you! hee hee hee
I'll pray for you...Will you pray for me? I am having my SI Joints (in my right hip) injected today for pain relief. I'll take an Ativan just before my appointment to relax me.
Anyone at the wedding may have noticed that I sat ALOT and didn't walk, if I could help it. It's b/c I am in a GREAT DEAL of pain right now. I am having break through pain from my medication too and it's no fun!

Prayers for you....
That combination of medications is pretty powerful.
The Phenergan alone will cause me to be quiet drowsy.
It won't keep me from being able to wake up if I need to, but it does help me to sleep. I have 25mg pills and can take just 1/2 of one and will sleep well.
Xanax is an anti-anxiety medication. I had that before a
procedure a few months ago. I believe, if I remember correctly, my doctor had me take a single .5 mg tablet one hour prior to the procedure then another .5mg about 30 minutes prior. I was awake but very relaxed. As soon as I got home, I did go to bed and go to sleep for several hours.
The Demerol is the pain control component of that trio of meds you will be having. It usually works well for pain control.
With the three of them combined, you should be fairly well relaxed -- of course it all depends on what procedure you are having done too....
MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE would be to ask for a heavy sedation with VERSED. Of course, you indicate you have had a problem in the past, so if that drug was a part of your problem, you may want to avoid it.
Good luck and let us know how you do!
