Thanks for the warm welcome.  I'll be driving to daphne tomorrow to visit with my sister and her family after I see the doc.  I'm hoping for a band adjustment.  Wish me luck.

Enjoy your trip. Daphne is nice..Sandi works and lives there! Maybe we can meet up sometime when you come over again? I live in beautiful Gulf Shores and I lead the Baldwin County Support group called Weigh Down. We will be doing the Walk From Obesity next Saturday in Pensacola Florida if you are over this way or want to go you are welcome to ride with us from Daphne area. We have support group meetings once a month on the 1st Thursday. Do you have a local one in Mississippi ? I know there is one at Providence Hospital also A Slimchance. It is on the 3rd Tuesday of each mont in Mobile. I like Dr. Dyas. I don't know if we have a local one here in Gulfport.  It's hard for me to get out and do much.  I have two small children and am a full time mom.  
My surgery was at Mobile Infirmary.  I've been to Providence several times.  Had a thoracotomy there, radiation and I still go there for my CT scans.  I had cancer.  Sarcoma.  Better now.  (keeping my fingers crossed)
I saw Dr Dyas Friday.  He agreed to give me another small fill.  Our visits are very stressful.  I don't know why.  I think I'm a very friendly person.  I guess our personalities clash.  Anyway....
We had a great time in Daphne.  Some friends and I were in Orange Beach a few weeks ago.  I spend so much time in Alabama I don't know why I'm living in Gulfport. 
I'm from Mobile.  I'll probably end up there.  My family still lives in or around Mobile and all of my doctors (oncologists, etc) are in Mobile.

Well Hi from Daphne!  How are you liking your realize band?  I haven't heard too much from people who opted for that surgery.  Educate me a little.  What's the difference between that and the Lap Band?  I had an RNY back in February, but I researched getting the Lap Band.

Well, it took a while but I finally like my realize band.  The reason I didn't like it is it took months to get it adjusted tight enough to work for me.  My last fill was Aug 28 which brought me to 7.5cc in a 10cc band.  It was my fifth fill, more than four months after surgery.  Well now that I have restriction I really like the band.  I'm hoping my next small fill will get  me to that "sweet spot" and hopefully I'll catch up with the weight loss that I missed out on since April.

Hey Rachel, This is unreal that I have been reading your post on the Realized forum . I am having the realized band myself . was having it the 17 and mt thyroid was not being nice so had to cancel . Got a week and 1/2 to recheck blood work and then re-Schedule. This is my board here . You will Love them all they have touched me so!! I hope the band is working for you now !! Keep us posted on how you do !!

Good luck with the thyroid thing and surgery.  I had a thyroidectomy in 2006.  It didn't want to act right either and was growing strange things. 

Yes thank goodness.  The band is finally working for me.  After all this time....
