A song for Donna

Hello friends.  Jimmy and I are singing at our home church this morning and since I can't be at her service this afternoon, we are going to sing for Donna.  I hope her family realizes how many friends Donna had on this board.  I think it would make them happy to know she was loved.

This has made me want to let all of you know how important you are in my life.  We never know when it may be our last day here.  I don't want to leave anything unsaid or undone.  You are all so important in my life and I love you all.

See you all next weekend for Carmen's hugs in person!!!  I hope Juju has a joke for us and I hope our Vickie will come so we can meet her.  We will have our happy girl Jackie and I bet she will even have a quote if we listen closely.  I guess we had better not expect coffee talk though......Randall may have other things on his mind that day.  I can't wait to see everyone.

She will be sitting right there with us wearing that RED, split up to "there" stepping out dress that she was so proud to have found on sale.  I may go find a red dress and wear it myself in her memory   She would love that.

On a different thought.  I know it is the custom for flowers to be sent but my mind went back to a LONG conversation I had with Donna not 2 weeks ago. I was helping her do some research with her diabetes.  As a result of this we have decided to make a donation in memory of Donna to IPUMP which helps people receive help with insulin pumps.  This is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit diabetes assistance organization.

I just edited my post with our other "thought" that will hopefully help others.  When Mama passed away we asked for donations to Hospice that cared for her.  I know that every penny helped.

Good morning Gwen. I know that our support group is going to make a donation in Donnas name at the walk from obesity. We can then send the T shirt to the family. Donna had it so much harder than the rest of us to lose weight.

Louise, she tried sooo hard.   I wi**** wasn't so far to drive today.  I will be there in spirit   thinking of her and all the conversations we had and remembering the laughter.

Gwen,
I personally want to thank you for donating to this cause.   I, too am a pump user and I know first hand how expensive it can be and it also showed me where I can donate my old pump!!   Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

Because of HIM,
  Donna

Donna

I wish I had found IPUMP sooner.  Mama had diabetes among all her other problems so I know how we struggled financially to provide all the things necessary for her care.  After Hospice took over we really realized just how blessed we were to have them provide assistance.  After Mama died we found a lot of diabetic supplies in a closet.  I did not know what to do with them so they basically went unused.  Now I see where this organization could have taken them.

I hope we meet again soon.
