Ok Board, these cooler days and nights are making me want soup, stew and chili..not all at once though! Thought I would share my recipe for Chicken Stew with you guys!

Chicken Stew

2 -3 B/S chicken breast cooked & shredded, reserving broth
2 cans veg-al, drained
1 can 98% FF cream of chicken

In a med stock pot, boil chicken seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Remove chicken when done, reserving broth in another dish. To stock pot, add both cans of veg -al, shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup and 1 - 2 soup cans of broth (depending on how thick you like it). Return to boil adding salt and pepper to taste. Reduce heat to med low and allow to simmer for 20 -30 minutes, stirring ocassionaly to prevent sticking.

This is soooo good! my family really enjoys it for supper on a cool night. This can also be made in a crockpot, cooking on low all day. Hope you enjoy it!!

Hi Phyllis.  I make chicken gumbo and I thought I would share a secret I have with you.  You can use a precooked chicken from the deli in soups and stews and it adds so much flavor.  I use those all the time now.  Try it and see how you like it.
