I sent you a pretty extensive answer to the question in the thread.  Actually, I think I sent you an answer that maybe some other people might want to read, if they have similar problems or just need confirmation that they are not wasting their time when they are "entertaining." their kids.  It is all of that "entertaining" that is actually getting them ready for school.  I listed several things that you can do to help him at home.
