Anyone Have Lap Band Surgery Scheduled ?

 Hello All,
Is there anyone on here preparing for lap band surgery? or that has recently had lap band surgery. I have about 2 more months of BC/BS requirements and I would love to hear updates from people.

Just wanted to say hello and WELCOME!! We have some people here that has lap-band and has done beautifully. I am sure when they see this post they will answer any questions on what to expect. Please dont be a stranger round here..join in we have a great OH family!!

Hey, I had surgery on Sept. 4...stayed overnight in the hospital went home on Friday.  I had some infection then got a stomach virus...but went back to work on the 8th (monday after thur. surgery) worked a couple of 1/2 days ...I am pretty much back to normal, still tired when I get home from work..but I have lost 17 lbs so far and haven't weighed since last Thursday!!!!!

Welcome to the board! I was banded on 8/11 and was home that afternoon. I feel great - have more energy, my knees don't hurt and the clothes are getting looser! I've lost 25 lbs since 8/11 and another 16 during my 2 week preop diet. I'm now down 3 sizes in clothes but haven't forced myself to go shopping yet. lol

 Banded 8/27/07, weight loss is almost 80lbs, clothes sizes from a tight 26/28 to a size 14/16 (16s are a little loose now). I have tons of energy and people who run into me know don't recognize me. It's fun!  The best part is when I show people my before picture that I keep on my key chain, the facial expressions are fun to watch.
Hang in there, the best is yet to come!
