Detox Diets?

I was wondering who has ever had to go on a detox diet?  I have Candida and was told that I might need to detox.  I heard those words and was offended thinking this person thought I was a druggie or something.  But then I read up on it and saw that this is a common and helpful thing for folks with Candida.  If you have done this before, did it work?  Any suggestions?

If your doctor diagnosed you with Candida then I would ask for a Diflucan pill, especially if it is systemic.

I have had systemic candida in the past and the only thing that clears it up for me is Diflucan.

The best advice if your trying to detox is to avoid refined sugar and anything containing yeast.

A probiotic is not a bad idea either.

Thanks for the tips.  Candida is the main reason for most of my health issues.  The Dr that found my cancer wanted to do some testing, but we had to wait till after myhyster for that, then when I was able to go back he had left the firm and went with another.....he was such a great Dr.  When I go back on the 13th I am going to talk to the new Dr about testing me for Candida again.  I took an online quiz and out of 16 things proving Candida I had 14.  Dr. David knew I had it he just wanted to prove it.  Thanks again for the tips.  My acne and sinus infections I think is the worst out of all the symptoms, and I am willing to try most anythign to clear those up!

Hey Susan! Yes, I have been busy but your post caught my eye.  I know your doctor is probably on top of things but you may mention to him to check your blood sugar.  Sometimes high blood sugar and yeast go hand in hand. Just a thought! Talk to you soon. Nanci
