Celebration of less is more in GA - Brunswick GA

I am so excited! Our yearly celebration is October 4th and I just wanted to let everyone know that it is open to anyone interested in it. It is an event that is put on by our hospital and doctors. At the event there are vendors, speakers and give aways. Some of the local WLS patients will be in a fashion show after lunch. That night is a dinner and dance where we all can celebrate our journey. Dang!!!!!! I had planned on  going this year with my daughter in law. She used Dr. Henderson and has been telling about the yearly celebration that you all have. That is the same weekend we will be doing the Walk from Obesity. If not for that I would be heading down to southeast Ga to join you all. I hear it is a lot of fun.

It is soooo much fun! Hope you can make it next year. Just keep watching the website for the info. Does your Daughter in law live here or close by. I would love to walk in a walk from obesity. I need to check into those.

Aimee lives in Waycross. I believe that she is planning on being there. She had told me about it but did not remember the date. I will remind her when it is so that she can make plans to attend. Check out the website Walkfromobesity.
 

Thanks I will. Does Aimee attend the support group at the hospital? It is a great group and Ashley is a wonderful leader.

Phyllis. Aimee does not attend the one in Bwk, do they have one in Waycross? If they do she could make that one. Do you all have any functions on Saturdays? I am going down for GA/Fla weekend and if you did I would love to go with Aimee.

Louise, This is an email sent to us at Less is more in GA site. It will help Aimee locate Ashley. Also I dont know of anything going on that weekend but GA/FL ..what weekend is it..if it isnt the weekend of Oct 18th then maybe we could meet for lunch if you are in Brunswick area.

Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to take a minute to remind you that we will be having our monthly support group meeting on Thursday night at 6:30 pm at the Annex cafetorium at Satilla Regional Hospital.  This month's meeting will be very exciting and informative.  First we have our annual Celebration coming up in October.  This is a weekend event held in Brunswick that allows us to Celebrate the new life we now have or hope to have.  More information will be available at the meeting. Also I am very excited about this month's speakers.  We will have Dr. Mitchell and Dr. Barr (Plastic Surgeons) coming to speak with us in reference to the types of surgeries that are available after bariatric surgery. 

Please feel free to spread the word and invite someone to the meeting.  Remember that Support Group is vital to success.  Feel free to bring your support person or anyone who would like to learn more about Bariatric Surgery.

I also want to remind you that support group is important for when you are experiencing the ups AND DOWNS in your journey.  The group can offer support and encouragement during this confusing time.  Please feel free to attend no matter where you are in the journey.  Thanks again and I look forward to seeing you all Thursday.
