Info on: Melitta Coffee Mill and Brew Coffee Maker

My niece manages a store that has a wonderful deal on a Melitta Coffee Mill and Brew Coffee Maker.  Does ANYONE know anything about this coffee maker.  It grinds coffee and also has weather info on it.  It seems like a real good deal considering the retail price for it is $189.  I can get it for a  small fraction of that cost.  I just want to know if it's easy to operate and a good buy.  This store is a discount store for "higher end" merchandise.  If I decide to go with this coffee maker, I'm going to need some good advice on what kind of coffee beans to get as well.  Okay coffee drinkers...UNITE and give me your sound advice!!!
