Prayers for a dog named Max

Several years ago we rescued a precious rat terrier that had been badly abused.  Max became Bob's constant companion.  During this time Bob became seriously ill and much of the time he could not function.  Max would stay right by his side.  After Bob became better he had to return to Enterprise to care for his mother while I had to go to Georgia to care for my mother.  Both lived in apartment complexes that did not allow pets.  We made the decision to let Max go live with our best friends in Enterprise.  Max became the side-kick to a sweet lady that treated him like a king.  When Hazel moved back home to Wisconsin she took Max with her.

We just got a phone call that Max is critically ill and will have to have surgery on Wednesday to remove a tumor from his abdomen.  Hazel was told that if it is very bad they will go ahead and let Max cross Rainbow Bridge without waking him up for her to say goodbye. He is now 11 years old.  Please pray for this precious dog.  He has brought such joy to all of us and has been a fantastic companion to both Bob and Hazel at times when they needed him the most.  Max overcame a rough beginning to spread his love and affection with all of us.

Those who know me well, know that dogs are my heart!! I will keep Max in my thoughts and prayers.....and will find comfort knowing that IF/when he goes to Rainbow Bridge, my Rue, Gitmo & Beemer will be there to show him around!! Please let us know how things go. (We have a Max, too!!)
