Say a prayer...
From time to time, I will visit other boards--typically lurking but usually to follow the journey of someone who has inspired me.
On the Post Op Pregnancy board, I have been following a very touching story of a woman who is facing the battle of her life.
Her name is Cheri and here is the link to her OH Profile:

Cheri is, if I am not mistaken, a 40 year old mother of five children. A 23 year old daughter, twin 17 year old sons, a five year old son and a daughter who just had her first birthday this past Monday. And add to that, her husband is Military and delployed to Germany at this time.
A few weeks ago, Cheri--still breastfeeding her young baby, was found to have breast cancer. She was staged at a 3-B and if you know much about breast cancer, you understand that places it is a quiet advanced category.
Cheri went in the hospital last week for some minor surgery to prepare her for chemotherapy and they found more than had been expected. Going into anesthesia, Cheri anticipated a lumpectomy and when she awoke, she found that a mastectomy had become necessary.
She is still in the hospital and undergoing "Induction Chemotherapy." She is suffering from extreme side effects from the Chemotherapy and is extremely sick in addition to the pain she was already having from the Mastectomy.
Her husband is currently home with her, but it is unclear at this time how long the Military will allow him to remain in the states.
She has a webpage on Caringbridge.com , where her family and friends are posting updates. The link to that site is:

I don't know Cheri, I have never engaged in conversation with her--but I am touched by her story and the struggle she is going through.
I can not imagine the stress her, her husband and her children, especially, a one year old baby, are going through. I know this board can send up a lot of prayers and I believe that Cheri would appreciate all the support and prayers she could get.
If you have time....maybe you can remember Cheri and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
