**Shaking my Head***
I for one do not know for sure who you are, but I highly suspect I would be right if I guessed...of course, I have been wrong before.
Mr. Southernfisherman----Welcome to the BAMA board!
I have been a memeber on this board for several years and every so often someone gets a cobb up their tail because a NON-OP post. Well, as I have stated many times--they can just get over it.
This website is OBESITY HELP.com. It does not state that a requirement for memebership of the site is to have had or to plan on having WLS. Obesity touches every person in our society in some manner. Be it us ourselves, someone we know--or the taxes we pay to help treat obesity--it touches us all. Therefore the way I see it, this board is open to all.
WLS is NOT an option for everyone, and even for some of those that it is an option, they may not have yet made a decision to move forward. WLS is a very personal issue and no one, NO ONE...has a right to try and force their views on another individual.
I have researched WLS for five years or so and STILL have not reached the conclusion that it is the BEST OPTION FOR ME...that is a decision that has been made with the knowledge and experience of my very qualified physicians. I don't think anyone on this or any other cyber world is more qualified than me and my physicians to make the choices that can affect the quality of my life.
I say all that to say---FIVE years later, even with protest from some, I am still here. I plan to be here for a long time. NO ONE, other than site management has the authority to tell others to leave the site....so
MR Southerfisherman---I extend a handshake and a welcome to you....you are more than welcome here.
Pull up a chair and make yourself comfortable!
And someday...I am coming for that fish fry!

Well, I for one am highly...well you know! When did Bama OH assign a "member coordinator" that inspects who and why people post here??? Seriously, I agree with Gail, some folks need the drama. Whoever emailed you needs to take it to the back fence! So tacky on their part.
I can personally tell you that SouthernFisherman and his wife are some of my most loved members on this board.
We know him personally and think he is the bestest!!!

Hello Mr. Fisherman,
You are most welcome. I have had surgery. I am 4 years postop and I use to post a lot to the boards when I first joined. But I mostly just lurk now because of the people like you talked about. It is truely sad. We need to pray for people like that. Welcome to the BAMA BOARD!!

This is who WE are.
We are two people that have endured a lot of hardship, pain and turmoil in our 20 years together. Bob has had 3 heart attacks, 3 strokes and has a condition called dysautonomia. At one point we were told he would never walk again yet he beat the odds. He has been by my side through a rare form of cancer that normally people only live 3 to 6 months. I survived and 8 years later I am cancer free. He watches me on a daily basis struggle with rheumatoid arthritis knowing that at some point I will be confined to a wheelchair. Together we cared for my grandparents until they passed away. Together we raised Bob's daughter who became MINE. Together we cared for both our terminally ill mothers who passed away 10 months apart.
Who am I? I am a Staff Member that works in the Photo Department processing member photos. Who is Bob? He owns a home bait shop and writes articles for newspapers and magazines. Who are we? We are two people that love the members of the Alabama Board.
