Another pdate on moi
Sorry I haven't been on lately, honestly recovery has been rather rough. I thought I would bounce right back after this surgery. All of the Dr's told me I was their youngest pt by 25-30 years. I cannot imagine being elderly & havinthis surgery. All I can say is...Bless their hearts!
I am trying to take it 1 day at a time & do a little bit each day, that's all I can do. I still cannot breathe very deeply, or sneeze, hiccup or even yawn. I had my follow up with my Surgeon today. I took him the results of my l;atest chest x-ray. He said it is looking much better, there is still fluid n my chest, but much less than before. I have a hole in my diaphram, so that is where most of the pain is coming from. He said in time, we may have to go back in & repair that, I told him to bite his tongue! He said the fluid I had in my chest after surgery squeezed 1 of my lungs to the size of a small apple & shifted my heart, my heart rates were 140+.
My abdomen & bowels seem to be healing nicely. I still have pain, but that is to be expected. I have no energy, so that is what we have to focus on. I have lost so much weight I am now underweight. I am trying my best to eat ever 2 hrs, but have only managed to gain 2 lbs in almost a month. I still get pretty nauseous, so zoFRAN is my friend. It is a wonderful med!
Mike left to go back to Iraq last Sunday & my son, Braden left for Basic Training in SC on Tuesday. I rcvd a call on Wednesday, Braden was on his way home. He & his friends had been playing football last week & he got a large "boo-boo" on his arm. When he had his physical before he left for basic, they sent him home to heal. Seems you cannot have ANY wounds & go to basic. He now leaves in 32 days.
Even though I have not been here, my thoughts & prayers have been with ya'll, each & ever day. Ya'll take care

"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."

Thanks Vickie, I'll take all the prayers I can get.

Thanks Carmen,
I thought I was tough, but this has about kicked my butt!
The Dr says I am actually doing extremely well, I have my doubts. It's hard to believe I still feel this rough after 5 weeks! lol!
You are sooooo very sweet!

Thanks Ms. Lindy, right back at ya. I KNOW being sick for an extended amount of time is so very hard, esp. without answers!
