You, me, and so many other people are looking forward to the end of hurricane season!!! Ike seems to be no threat to us thank God! I don't wish him on anyone, but we sure don't want him.
We came through well! Lots of debris, but that was manageable. George and I, energizer bunnies that we are, (nickname we were given after Katrina when we cleaned 6 yards) cleaned up most of our street before the neighbors returned. We arrived home Tuesday morning @ 9:30ish, hooked up the generator and started the clean up! Filled several of the neighbors' very large city-issued garbage cans with leaves and trash. One neighbor on returning home mentioned, "It looks as if nothing happened here!" DUH, you should have seen it when we got home! Ya know, you do whatcha gotta do and get on with the process of living!
