Who Was The First?

person on OH to inspire you?  It may be one, 2 or a few people, but WHO inspired you when you first joined OH?

I'll start.
I cannot remember her OH nick, but Tracy was her name.  I joined OH @ a month prior to WLS, so each a.m., I would see if she would update her profile. 
I would also view OH's before/after pics for encouragement.

Also, Elle & Itty Bitty(Lindy) seen me aimlessly wandering in the HUGE WAVES OF the MAIN BOARD and invited me to the cozy home of the Bama Board.  Now, I have been here every since.
You wanna know something?  It's Elle's fault!  WHAT DO I MEAN?  My daily quotes began because of Elle.  I was a faithful lurker with NOTHING to say (boy, did that change!****il at the very 1st Bama Bash she invited me to post.  I told her I didn't have nothing to say.  She say to say anything...just as long as I posted something.  That's when I decided to post other's "thoughts" for the day.

So, WHO encouraged you when you first arrived to OH?

I came to the board by accident 1 month before surgery.  I wouldnt post anything i would just read.  I do believe that Randall, Elle, and Lindy inspired me.

 For me was Dixie Dawn. I remember that she even send me some protein samples before my surgery..Love you girl..

Then I meet the rest of the Gang..I went to Brenda & and Glenn's house just a week after my WLS. Elle, Jackie , my dear sis Mary, Lindy, Randy, Brenda and Glenn and more.. I got the pic lol

Oh I love this Jackie,

First time I found this board was by accident about a month before my surgery date. Well at that time I thought that but, now I know  GOD lead me here. I was a Lurker for a while Insired by Randall's coffee talk Thank YOU Randall!! and Jackie's quote's Thank YOU Jackie!! I was addicted !!!! & I will add I'M STILL ADDICTED and still inspired daily by You both!!..Then I got the courage to post about my upcoming surgery. Becky was the first to respond with a very encouraging note and words of encouragement. She seemed to know exactly what I needed to hear. Thank YOU Becky!! I was inspired by reading EVERYONE's profiles and the before and after pictures. This has not change after 2 years on this board. I am inspired daily by everyone here. I truely love each and everyone here!! I can't wait to see the friends/family I have met..and to met the ones I have not had the pleasure to meet. I look forward to this boards get-to-gethers!!

The people that inspired me the most when I first joined OH and they continue to inspire me today are Jackie, Carmen and Judy Hitt. There are others but these ladies seem to have an unlimited amount of positive energy.  I need that.  I began like Jackie and still I don't  post much but I decided to join secret pals to get to know people better.  God blessed me with one of the best "Happy Girl" and that name is so appropriate.  I love Jackie!! We corresponded about weight loss, kids , husbands, shopping, work and lots of other things.  She made me feel so welcome. Then there is my friend JuJu and Carmen, Julie, Randall......way to many to list.  I love coming to this board. Some days it may not be a lot of weight loss info here but I feel like there is still a lot of good information and discussion. I know that anytime I have a weight loss question the people on the "Bama Board" will always have an answer for me. I appreciate everyone here!!

Wow, this brings back memories!

I would honestly have to say it was Elle!  She was the very first person that I talked to on OH; that includes the main board.  I would print off things she would post and read and re-read them.  A few years ago I got them out and shared them with her.  I still have them and at times I still go back and read them.

Then, I met Randall, Glenn and Brenda at the first Bash and the rest is history!  God places those we need in our life when we need them.

I heard about OH by accident and checked out the main board back in 2000. I had my surgery in 2002 and someone mentioned the Bama Board. I came in as a lutker. I don't remember anyone particular from that time frame. I went through some personal problems and dropped off the board. I don't remember how I got back involved but when I came back I just lurked again. I was really impressed with Randall's posts and contacted him about support groups. For a while we had support group meetings here at my office. Randall and Gail played a very important part of me getting back on track and getting involved with the board once again. I love it. It's an addiction I can live with!!! or rather - can't live without!!

I have so many friends now and love you all!!

Ohhhhhh, I just LOVE you Jackie   You are such a wonderful asset to this here board and such an inspiration to us all.  Thank you for being here and such a wonderful supportive friend.

Loretta invited me here and then others welcomed and kept me here.  There are so many that I miss that use to be permanent fixtures here, but have left.  The ones of you here now are what keep me here.  I love you all and am thrilled that I have such great friends and examples. 

Geez, I'm beginning to wonder who was on the Bama Board when I came on from the Main board.....I can't remember how I found this Bama Board and I sure wish I could.  I love this place and all of you here.  WE ARE FAMILY!!!  The good, bad and ugly.....we're STILL family.
