She's Going to...

one of my facilities.  That is my Grandmother will be discharged from the hospital to one of my Long-Term Care facilities for short-term rehab (21 day stay) to get stronger.
I've never been on the "receiving end" of being a family member with a resident receiving care, so this will be a learning experience for me.
Please continue to pray for my Grandmother Essie for I am concerned about her.  She is thinner than I have ever seen her and her appetite isn't good.  It's not like her to not want to eat.
After spending this weekend with her, I have found out more about myself though that I didn't know ~ such as I had a Cherokee Indian Great, Great Grandfather and a former mayor of Gadsden is my cousin.  I am learning about my heritage I guess you could say.  I also found out where Jessie gets her BIG FEET FROM! hahahahahaha!

Hey Missy, I will keep your Grandmother in my prayers! We has kids see our grands in a different light as we grow older we really see them as they are and find out things we did not know. My ma-maw was a preacher, as a child I thought she was mean LOL, but when I helped take care of her I realize that she was funny and had a sense of humor. I really got to know her well then the Lord took her on. I wish I would have known then what I know now.

Nothing tastes as good as being thinner feels.

I have to walk early in the morning, before my brain figures out what I'm doing.

Praying for Grandma Essie and for you.  I think it is wonderful that she will be at your facility.  The people know you and I think they will go out of their way to make sure she is taken care of.

Don't you just love finding out the history of your family.  Some may not though.  HEHEHHEE  I had moonshiners in my family.  EVEN AS LATE AS THE 1990's!!  Their stills were blown up.  Then, I too had preachers and public officials.  GO FIGURE!!

Jackie, you Tim and the children are verry dear to Brenda and me.  I'm glad your grandmother is well enough to get started on the road to recovery in the rehab facility.  I pray she will tolerate the work she will have to go through and respond appropriately.

Last week I heard you might be moving.  I hate to see you move to the town you are talking about and get corrupted by one of the residents there. LOL  Actually I'm trying to get him to move North.

BTW Congratulations on the new job.  Does it take you to Crossville?  They can use some help on food prep and presentation.

Love ya,
Glenn
