I have my big girl panties on.  FORGIVENESS is one thing, FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO, but forgetting is another.  I for one have been DEEPLY hurt by someone and I feel that I am owed a PERSONAL appology, not just one if I think it's OWED to me.  I realized there were cir****tances beyond this person's control, but if they are truly better,  and saved by the grace of God, they would PERSONALLY extend APPOLOGIES to those who were directly affected by their actions.

Here is a copy of a 12 step program and I really like it as far as many things go, not just drugs and alcohol, but it can benefit ALL OF US.  It applies to EVERYONE!

1. We admitted we were powerless over addictions - that our lives had become unmanageable.

2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.

4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

5. Admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.

7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.

8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.

9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.

12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to alcoholics and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

THANK YOU GOD FOR NOT MAKING ME GO THROUGH A 12 STEP PROGRAM WHEN YOU FORGAVE ME OF ALL MY FILTH, TRASH, AND SIN!!!

You are, too!  OMG!  You posted untruths, assumptions, and flat out dishonesty and then you passed it off as holy, hid behind a bible you clearly have not read and do not understand.  Then when called on your actions you ran through deleting everything as though we didn't save it.  You are not adult or mature enough to come clean and admit a simple error, and top that off with playing God at every opportunity.

Take responsibility for your own actions, darl'en.

Elle for the most part I agree with you BUT I also see that you often throw stones, but certainly would not like it if people threw them back at you. 
We are not owed anything in this life. What we do owe is a debt to GOD and we should work daily to pay IT off. If you had truly forgiven as the Bible directs us then you would not post this. It is not God like to go around throwing salt in old wounds. Trust me, it is not becoming.

I would NEVER INTENTIONALLY HURT ANYONE!  That's all I'm saying...

 

Not sure what all this is about but think it occurred before "my time."  Just want to say that I love you Elle as I do all the people on this board. 

I want to apologize to anyone I may of hurt a month or so back.  I'm not making excuses but just being honest. I was going thru alot of stuff with my personal life and also my son and lashed out and hurt some people.  I'm not the best at wording stuff when I'm all up in a whirl wind.  I am truly sorry.  One of those people was my secret pal, Becky.  I am so sorry and want to personally say to you I'M SORRY.  I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.  I have ask God to forgive me and He did.  I love you and I love everyone on this board.  I want to speak the peace of God to everyone reading this.

Thank you Vickie for not flaming me.   Yes, you are right, it was long long long before your time here.  I am so glad you have found peace and the love of God and may you be richly blessed by Him.  It was very courageous of you to make this post I am sure and I know whom ever reads it will feel the same as I do.  God bless you Vickie.
