What'd ya cook for Sunday lunch?

I put a boston butt in the crock pot last night and it was ready this morning when I got up.  I pulled it apart and had it ready for sandwiches or just bbq sauce.  I made baked beans, homemade potato salad and corn on the cob.  We had bbq bread and buns.  I had splenda sweetened tea and a sf peanut butter pie for dessert.  I personally ate some meat, a few bites of potato salad and a bite of beans. It was wonderful.

What did you have for lunch today?  I'm guessing we'll be eating on leftovers for a couple of days.  It was a huge butt.

It's tempting...but I better stay here. With the price of gas..who can travel?

Did you happen to notice....Last Wednesday, I paid $3.39 for regular unleaded--On Thursday, it went us to $3.55!
I suppose it should not come as a surprise--It is a Holiday weekend.

This time last year...I was on the road, almost in Mobile and anxious to leave on a cruise for Mexico. This year, I am home!

I think you should think about it Carolyn~ and make the trip up one weekend.  Of course I'd wait till the gas prices go down after the holiday.  LOL  You know they would be so happy to see you.

You know....I've been promising Kyle grilled cheese sandwiches for weeks now and have yet to make them.  Heck, I don't even think I've got any BLOCK cheese in the house.  I shredded it all for the taco salad the other night. Now, I MUST go get cheese and make those for Kyle soon.  HE deserves them. :)

Block cheese? Heck, that is what I use Kraft single for!

A little butter, two slices of wheat bread and a slice of Kraft Singles and I am good to go! (well..ready to grill it anyway)

Unfortunately, my family will not eat Kraft singles.  They want the REAL stuff.  I, myself, like the Kraft singles just fine.  hee hee!!!

I put a beef roast in the crock pot this morning before church so when I came home I finished the roast, roasted sweet potato, okra, squash. For the kids and hubby I fixed some mac 'n cheese, mashed potatoes and rolls. It was so good to eat some real food. I put the meat in a food processor along with the gravy and kinda mashed up the veggies I could eat. I'm one happy woman!

I am going to make spaghetti and meatballs.  I'm making the meatballs with tiny balls of mozarella cheese in the middle.  I saw Rachel Ray do that this morning and it looked so good!!  Your boston butt sounds good.  We do that a lot, it's so easy!!  Pull it apart and break out the buns!
