Hi.  Calling out for all prayer warriors... you are NEEDED NOW!!!  As Gustav grows, so are the fears!  To give you an idea of what's going on (in case you haven't seen the news) go to NOLA.com.

To my OH Gulf Coast friends...we are here in prayer for you.   If you have to evacuate, please let us know when you can.  There may be an area you go that one of us can help you or at least offer a shoulder to lean on.

I hope all of our Alabama members can join me in prayer as we buckle down and get through Gustav.  We worship a God who calms the storms and renews our strength in ourselves and each other!!!

Love ya'll
!!

I was going to leave the MS coast today but traffic was SO heavy. A few hours ago we rode to the interstate to "check" traffic and I-10 E was in gridlock!  This is my first experience with a hurricane and I am terrified!  I am hoping and praying that my friend will let me and my boys go to the VA with him when he returns to work on Monday morning. Please say a prayer!

I appreciate your prayers and those of my BAMA board friends!  George and I are packed and ready.  We'll make the decision after the 10 AM info.  All I can think is New Orleans and the Gulf Coast can't go through this again.  If Gustav goes further west, my daughter, SIL, and grandson are in it's path.  They are trying to make a decision whether to stay or leave.  Luckily they are inland enough that their expected winds should only be 50 - 70 mph.  Please, say special prayers for my son who is an ER nurse at one of our local hospitals in New Orleans.  He worked during Katrina, and will be staying and working through this one too.  I can only imagine the things he saw and was called on to do.  All I can say is he seemed to have aged 10 years in those few days.
Debbie who is from New Orleans, and hopes to be able to come home to New Orleans!
