I might get flogged for this post but I have to say it anyway. I am so proud that John McCain picked Sarah Palin for his running mate. It is about time that women were noticed. From what I have been hearing  this morning, Palin does not have old money, and knows what it is like to be in the working class. I want to encourage all of you that do not vote to please get out and register so that you can vote in November

were you expecting him to choose her? I guess I think of him being like war hero and manly man kinda person that I was surprised he chose a lady. I think I expected him to pick Charlie Crist or Bobby Jindal or someone like that. I think it is great that he chose a female.

No I was not expecting  him to pick her. I had thought that it would be a man. In my book John McCain is a war hero. Anybody that can survive being held POW for 5 years is a true hero. I just think that it is great that he selected a woman.

I am proud he did too!  There goes SEVERAL theories out the door!  She has a down syndrome baby and did not abort.  She was a beauty queen also.  I am with you!  I'm a guy and I am glad he picked her!  SMART MOVE!!

Wow Louise, I am shocked...I don't know why and I am glad he chose her, but I was not expecting that.  I had not heard until now.  I have been outside.  I was off today and it is soooo hot in my house STILL.  I agree with you...everyone should register and GO VOTE!!!

She was a fisherwoman!!!  How cool is that!!!  She has five kids and she still appears to be completely sane!!!  That alone makes her qualified to do ANYTHING!!!
