I FIT!!!

I had to go have an MRI this morning and I was so excited that I actually fit inside the regular MRI tunnel. Before WLS I would not have even attempted to do such a thing.

Now, I fit but I didn't get to complete the imaging session. I had a panic attack and broke down in tears and had to be taken out. I was so embarrassed and ashamed. I was fine when I first laid down but then the tech told me to roll over onto my stomach. Well, I never sleep on my stomach because I feel like I am suffocating so you can imagine how it felt to be on my stomach and then rolled inside this machine with such confinement. It was more than I could handle. The tech got me out and put his arm around me because I was almost hysterical at this point. I was hyperventilating and sobbing uncontrollably. He calmed me down and told me they had another imaging technique they could use on me so I am going back up there at 2:00 and we'll try this other technique.

I think the tears came more from just a melt down than from the actual MRI. I haven't cried at all since hearing the "cancer" word. I'm just glad nobody from my family was around because I know it would upset them even more if they see me upset. I'm fine now and can actually laugh about the situation. I'll sure have sympathy for anyone else that goes through this.
