I lost the fight

I was on the porch just before the heavy rain**** I noticed my hummingbird feeder was nearly empty. I had my juice out there and took i down and refilled it.I was trying to put it back  when all
at once something hit me. I looked around and it was a hummingbird. I couldn't get to the hook, he kept diving at me. I finally had to run into the house. He sat out there on the limb and watched. When I went out again to try to hang it he hit me again. After about 20 minutes he left. I ran out the front door , slapped it on the hanger and got the heck out of Dodge. He's out there now drinking his fill. I hope it makes him better tempered. Next time I may slip a valium into the necter. I may have to move the feeder so I can go out the front door. If I do I'll try at midnight.

Wow...that bird wanted his/her food.  LOL.  How cute...but just be glad it wasn't a crow or buzzard LOL.  That would have hurt.    You have brightened my day so much Mary.  Love ya!!!

or maybe just slip some chamomille into that feeder. I do that for my pet birds when they seems stressed (ok I mean when they stress me).

 Oh my goodness.  My daddy would love this.  He has hummingbirds that eat out of his hand.  He has about a dozen feeders all over his yard and at the back windows.  He loves his hummingbirds.

LOL awww I'm sorry that lil bugger was being a meany.. My Mom LOVED hummingbirds. I do now... when I see one I say HI Momma... I'm sure the one attacking you wasnt sent from her tho.. Mommy was too sweet a person for that LOL I do remember once she was outside filling hers up wearing a flower print shirt and one tried to light on her shirt LOL You could have been the nectar nazi and said.. NO JUICE FOR YOU!  LOL
