Good weekend

We had a good weekend in spite of the weather.  The crowd was off last night at the singing in Opp but we had a good service anyway.  The this morning we were expecting it to be raining again.  We woke up to the sun shining.  Homecoming was great.  It was an old fashioned homecoming.  Jimmy preached then we had lunch and a singing in the afternoon.  There was a good crowd and good service.

Let me tell you what the people of the church last night did.  We were there a while back for a revival.  Not sure just when it was.  They decided they would bless us with a special offering when we came back.  Right after we were there for the revival they took a big jug and started putting change in it.  It is 3/4 full.  I have not idea how much money is in there but it could never be as much as that act of love is worth.  This is a group of people who work hard and don't have money like other people do.  This was truly a gift from a heart of love.  We will never forget this weekend.
