Prayers for my brother and his community
If you have a few spare prayers my brother could use them as well as his entire community. He lives 9 miles north of me in a community called Colomokee. They have been totally without power and phone service since yesterday morning. Three Notch estimates it will be Monday afternoon at the earliest before they can begin restoring power and most will not have service until Tuesday and possibly Wednesday.
John, as well as many others, have freezers full of vegetables and meats that they are in danger of losing. We have power and John was able to wade water to get into our house to use our phone. We are flooded INSIDE the house unless we want to wade water. He is fortunate enough to be able to buy a generator to run his freezer but keeping enough gas will be the problem. He returns to work tomorrow so somebody will have to go out every 2 to 4 hours to gas it up for him.
Please pray for this community as not everyone was as fortunate as John and do not have generators. A well loved member of the community is to be buried at a church out there today with no power. Please remember the Jarrett family this afternoon as they say goodbye to "Alf" by candle light.
