Praying everyone is safe in LA (lower Alabama)..it has been raining steady for at least 24 hours.
I sure hated I couldnt make it yesterday to the lunch in Montgomery...I know yall had a GREAT time, I am looking forward to seeing pictures. I will get to see everyone at the wedding next month..it want be long my friend. Have a Wonderful BLESSED SONday!!! I LOVE ALL OF YOU TOO!!

I live down in Daphne, AL (across the bay from Mobile) and it seems we missed the brunt of the rain. Looks like it's more north upstate from us so say some prayers for them too. We got a good steady rain most of yesterday, last night and so far this morning a steady drizzle, but no flooding, thank God. We are safe. Our house is on high ground and if we get flooded, you better build an ark cuz that would be a lot of rain.
I sipped on my trusty Cafe Bustello espresso. Had me a double shot to get my motor running this rainy Sonday. My husband traveled all last week so I let him sleep in and served him coffee in bed. Everyone deserves that every once in a while.
We watched Stop Loss, the movie last night as the request of my son (24) who was in the USMC. He loves that movie and told me that it was what it was really like over there. He hasn't been the same since he got back several years ago. I think he lost the innocence of his youth in the things he saw and did. Going to try to go see Mama Mia at the theater today if I can drag someone out in this rain. Everyone still seems to be in hunker down mode despite the fact that we dodged the worst part of it all. I think I just have cabin fever today (and that double shot of espresso doesn't help).
