The weather here is just cloudy and wet. Not raining right now though. Gonna be 77 today for a high. Here is the weather forcast for Dothan, 1 1/2 hours below us.

Weather briefing as of 1:00 pm - Houston Co EMA, FRIDAY 8/22/08:
The TS Fay forecast remains relatively the same as previous reports. There is a low probability of tropical force winds, low probability of tornados and moderate probability for inland flooding. Rainfall perdiction is 4-7 inches with 1-2 inches tonight and the bulk of the rain occurring throughout the day on Saturday 8/23. Tallahassee weather believes the storm should be gone by Sunday, but there is still chances of more rain Sunday. Please continue to monitor the weather throughout the weekend and continue in "stand-by" status.
The health departments in PHA Ten will remain open today until 5:00 pm. If this should change due to the weather conditions, you will be notified. Thank you and have a safe weedend!

If not for FAY bearing down on us, I would consider making the trip up for lunch just to meet everyone. Instead, we are getting ourselves ready for some serious rain. We aren't expecting much in the way of winds, just a lot of rain. And they have me on-call for work too in case we start having flooding I may have to go into the office and man the phones (not much I can do about the flloding, but I can answer phones and relay info to those who can set up road blocks, etc). I live practically on Mobile Bay and my house is on VERY HIGH ground so we're feeling safe. Others in town won't be so lucky so keep your prayers going for everyone (in all the states and cities affected by Fay). It's moving so slow that it's dumping amazing amounts of rain in areas.
I'm sipping on my plain jane Community Coffee again this morning. I may have an espresso later when the dh gets back from golfing (I hope he gets his full round in before the rain starts...it's already really breezy outside). Then I need to focus on my water again. Still not getting my full amount each day. Bad me!
