Update on yesterday's post

I received a phone call from my deputy friend around 1:30 this morning asking me if I could meet him at the hospital in the town where I had the "words" with the lady yesterday.  It is 30 miles from me with bad weather on the way but naturally I said YES. 

Her business partner  played the entire security video back to her after we talked last night and Betty got a good view of her actions.  Not once did they hear me use obscene language but rather I was extremely mad at her once she called my grandson a filthy name. It appears "Betty" did some soul searching after our phone conversation last night and after seeing the video and decided she needed help with her problem.   She is not an alcoholic and has never drank.  She has a LONG time addiction to prescription pain killers and sleeping pills.   Why she chose me to release her anger/jealousy is not known.

Betty called the sheriff's department and asked specifically for Bill to call me.  We took her to a private clinic where she will get in-patient treatment.  She hugged me and held my hand all the way last night.  She said had I not called her last night and calmly talked to her she would not have seen the truth in herself.

Please pray for this lady.  I did rush and judge her , which was WRONG, because I was hurt and mad.  I know that the things she said about my family were said from a "pill bottle" and not from her heart.

I'm glad to know that God used you to touch this lady! I will definitely be remembering her and you in my prayers!

I will remember her in my prayers. Its naturla for us to be defensive about our loved ones. I dont think you did anything wrong. I hope things go well for this lady in treatment and she can get her life back.

i am so sorry that you had to go through that hurtful situation, but i agree with Michele. You may have saved this woman's life. If it were not for you, Betty may not have seen a reason to change. Sending prayer for her that she will be able to get the help she needs.
