Update on DD's School Situation

First of all, I want to say a BIG THANK YOU! to everyone who took the time to reassure me when i posted about Eryn's 4th grade teacher suggesting she be evaluated for ADD. An extra special thank you to Jackie & Karla for pm'ing me with their invaluable advice and expertise.
Now, on to my update: Eryn has been in school for almost 2 weeks now, and is doing VERY well so far. There are no missed assignments, no forgotten books or homework and she's keeping up with everything, including her belongings! She loves all of her teachers and classes (except exploratory, which no one likes, lol, it's just a glorified study hall) and has even made a new friend or two! As it turned out, none of her little circle of friends was in her lunch period class (english), so she's befriended 2-3 new girls and sits with them each day! I've taught her to put everything back in her backpack when she's done with her homework and so far, everything is going well. I'm so grateful to every one of you for reassuring me, you have no idea. And thank you Jackie and Karla, for taking the time to pm and put my mind at ease. I pray to God every night this trend continues...my baby's really growing up!

thank you michelle :)  of course, i bragged on her last night and this morning i find out she doesn't know where her gym bag is, lol, she says it's not in her gym locker, but that was the last place she saw it. 3 other girls (friends of hers) know the combination of her gym locker because she needed help figuring out how to make the lock work, so if it's not there, maybe one of them took it, and i told her to inform the gym teacher about the situation.

well, this kid is just bound & determined to make a  monkey out of me....in less than 24 hours she's lost her gym bag AND a brand new sports bra *sigh*. i don't know what to do with her. maybe her 4th grade teacher was right.
