A co-worker of my DH's has fibromyalgia really bad and she told him that taking a warm bath in green rubbing alcohol really helps her. Has anyone tried this and if so, what is your opinion? How much would I have to put in my bath water?

Thanks,
Lindy

I do not have the answer to the question, but would like to know what it is when you find out.  I don't know that I even knew there was "green alcohol."

I can see where creme de menthe would make you feel better, but I think that might be a different kind of "alcohol"

I vote for the creme de menthe!!!!! Or a buttery nipple! Now that would cure anything!!!!! the DRINK.....of course the drink could lead to.......never mind.....anyway, back to the RUBBING ALCOHOL......

I bought some.
**$2 at WM. It is 70% isopropyl alcohol, wintergreen, glycerin, and methyl salicylate**

I'm NOT going to put this in my bath water & SIT in alcohol.
But, I am going to try rubbing this on the bad places & see what it does.

Hugs,
LLindy

I remember, growing up, that my Granny always had "green alcohol" while at my house, it was always the 'white alcohol'.  Granny's smelled very minty, and I remember her rubbing it on her "aches & pains"  -- maybe it was the minty-ness that helped??   I'll be really interested to see the response to this.

Lindy, that alchol has linament added I imagine that while it might help with muscle tightness.....it might also be uncomfortable in MANY other ways. If anything have dan rub you down with it, just like you would do if you had a temperature with white alchohol.
