Karen, you are right.  I forgot the "by proxy" part.  The craziest  thing was that Kathy Bush herself  appeared to be a very nice person.  Even in prison she was said to be a model prisoner and extremely helpful to others. 

Makes you wonder what in the world gets into people.

I have to mention this fact.  Bob ex (Kecia's biological mother) was actually a different person up until she gave birth to Kecia.  It was like something snapped in her.  After Kecia was born she became a person that DEMANDED attention for herself at the expense of her child.  She had to be the center of attention and to heck with her family.  Needless to say that sick, sick woman lost legal claim to daughter.  Sad but true.

I am pretty sure that I know several. I did see this when I was working peds in South GA. It is so sad that some one would harm their baby/child to just get attention but they do. As far as Mauchausen, all I can say is that life is to short to want to be sick . Both cases is very sad. Both cases not only hurts the person doing it but also the whole family. Munchausen causes the family members to miss out on so much and if there is small children it puts them in the role of being a care giver when they should be doing children stuff.I do know a little about it as I have read a lot. Wish Karla was on here she sure could give you more of an insight.

When I was working, I encountered several suspected cases. (I do not know the results of the investigation). It is a serious condition and the person involved needs mental help. It is a mental illness. We need to remember that NORMAL people do not act this way.
