Back to Square One...

The attorney told dh that b/c my son's arm was not broken or he was not physically harmed enough for medical assistance that he would not take the case.  Basically it is a harassment case.  My son was grabbed by the arm, his wrist twisted and also pushed several times by an asst. principal in front of an entire group of kids eating lunch last week.  Hunter did not touch the principal...and to know my son, just a few years ago, he would have knock the hooey out of the principal, no matter who he was.  This was over a dropped plate of food in the lunchroom.
ALL of the kids in the school are disgusted with this principal for they all know that he was throwing his authority around. 
I don't know what to do?  Should I seek the advice of another attorney or what?

OH MY! Yes I would look for another lawyer. In the meantime have you reported this to the police and the Board of Education?  Get all the documents that you can find and it might not hurt to go ahead and get an X-ray done too. This is so horrible that someone who is suppose to protect our children are the ones who are hurting them. How does physical violence help any child? I'll never know, and over a dropped try for goodness sakes.. yeah I'd be livid and be madder than an ole mother wet hen! Seek justice for your son anyways you can. Does the school have a parent advocate? Ask. Please keep us updated and I will keep your family in my prayers!

Seems to me this constitutes battery.  So report it to the police.  That would be my reccomendation.  Many years ago my son was assaulted by two students and the school took the position that "boys will be boys"  I took the position that no one has the right to touch my son without consent.  I took him to the police dept and filed a report and then notified the Superintendant.  Action was taken on the boys the next day.

I would call the Pd and ask what I should ,could do and I would certainly call the School Board as they may have other complaints against him '

Nobody but NOBODY has the right to touch your son in that manner.  If YOU did that to Hunter you would be in handcuffs on charges of CHILD ABUSE so fast you head would be spinning. The SCHOOL would have no trouble reporting YOU for doing that to Hunter so why shoud it be such a problem now???? Call the police IMMEDIATELY.  Do not wait any longer.  If the school and this attorney have that kind of attitude then your son is not safe in their hands.

Get another lawyer!!  THIS IS CLEARLY ABUSE!!  Take it to the school board and also the state school board.  I am SO TIRED of teachers and principals TRYING to show who they are and harrasing our youth!  I see this all the time!  There is NO sense in what happened to Hunter!  I'm praying that God give you and Tim the wisdom you need in this matter!  Love ya!

I had a business card from the Children's Advocacy Center here in HSV.  I left a message, hoping someone can help me there...or at least I can stir the pot enough that I can file a complaint with them that they will look into the school.
