If you could spare a prayer........

I come to you asking for prayers for our daughter, Shannon. As most of you know Shannon is in the navy and a K-9 bomb dog handler and she has been deployed to Iraq twice now. Well guess what? Yes she is going again, we thought when they got to Guam the first of this year she wouldn't have to go again but we were wrong. Your prayers helped her when her convoy wa**** by an IED this last deployment, your prayers helped this family get through their day to day life not knowing what was going on over there and whether or not she was safe and so this time I come asking again. I know I mainly lurk but each of you are in my prayers. You may say this isn't WLS related but it is, because if i'm worrying about Shan then i'm not taking care of me and doing the things I know I should be doing.Stress makes most all of us turn to that comfort food and i have come to far to let stress cause me to gain. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and prayers, they will be GREATLY appreciated!!

Karen it is not important that this is not WLS related, we, or should I say I am here to support everyone in all their life adventures and issues.  I am praying for your daughter as well as for your family during this time.  I can't imagine having your child over there fighting.  My oldest son signs with the AirForce in March 2009 and I am so scared that he too will be sent over there.
Again my friend, prayers are with your daughter, you and your family.  Hugs!

Karen...first of all, Shannon and your family are in my prayers.  Now, you must take care of you in order to take care of everyone else.  They depend so much on us mothers and we have to be in the best health we can be in.  I miss you on the board.  Please keep us updated as to how Shannon is doing.  Also, please send me her address if you don't mind.  I would love to drop her a card now and then.  Love you!!!

I will definitely add Shannon, her unit and your entire family to my prayer list.  I so admire folks like her who are doing what they feel is right, and for defending OUR rights.

Your whole family are in my prayers darlin. WLS related or not we are all here for each other. She is a hero in my eyes. Everyone that is willingly to go through anything to protect our country is a hero. Please keep us updated as you can.
