And the countdown begins!

until 4AM tomorrow when DH and I get up to head to the hospital. I've finished my 6 glasses of water and the Megnesium Citrate which has made me burp like crazy! The kids are all settled in at our friend's houses, most things are ready for tomorrow (I'm not packing much since I'll be home by lunch) and I even have my pain meds filled and sitting on the fridge.

I am so fortunate to have a wonderful support group. While DH was preaching at Hazel Green this morning the congregation at the church in Madison (where DH is an associate pastor at) prayed for us. When we stopped by my dear friend Traci told me that several families have put together a list and will be bringing dinner to us for the next week while I recover. She laughed and said they had no idea what I could eat but they knew that they could help take care of hubby and the kids. I think that without Our Lord and Savior helping me through this and placing people in my life who support and encourage I don't think I could have made it this far.

Up until the year or two ago I had been an emotional eater and when things got rough I'd turn to food but as I stopped and looked at my actions I realized that I was putting a higher priority on food than God. I made the decision then that if I was putting food in my mouth and it was for comfort and reassurance I had to stop and look. I would then ask myself why? Why am I eating this? Am I hungry? Am I bored? Am I upset without someone or something? Why? If I could not answer those questions I pushed it aside. Now I did not lose a lot of weight but during the past 7 months I didn't gain any. Instead of looking down at my plate I look up to Him.

I apologize for going off on a tangent but felt lead to type this up. I look forward to the next step in losing weight and working to encourage others as I've been encouraged.

Good night and God Bless each of you and yours!
