I see occasionally where new people are wanting advice. You have came to the right place we have some of the most knowegable people on the board you would ever find. One of the questions asked is about fears and jumping thru hoops to get the surgery. I'm going to state for myself alone. It is worth any of the bothers and troubleI went thru to have my gastric bypass. I was blessed and have had no problems like the largest majority of the people on the board. But even with the people who have had problems most say they would do it again in a heartbeat. I have only talked to one person in the past 4 years who has regretted having surgery.
So would you do it again????????????

Im young, but I must say my only regret is not talking my husband into letting me do it sooner! It was honestly the best thing I ever could have done for myself!

Would I do it again! My true answer would be yes.. I'm 5 months out from RNY today.. I've not had any problems but only with Gallbladder having to be taken out a week after my surgery.   On the otherhand, instead of loosing, i weighed today and have gained 2 pounds.... Got some changes to make in my diet.. so far it seems to be the best thing that I've done not only for myself but for my family.. I too am able to live life to the fullest, going to a movie and fittin in the seat and actually feel like shopping instead of sitting around in the house...

YES MA'AM!!!!  I would do it over and over again.  I do so many things that I have never done in my life.  I am now soooooo enjoying golfing.  I am not very good, but I love trying.  I am buying me some clubs next weekend.  It is just so much fun to go with my baby boy and be alone and talk if nothing else.  Also, the cruise, I would never have taken them, flying, going to theme parks, shopping, and just plain out having fun.  I have had no problems either, except when I over ate or did not chew good.

ye s I would do the surgery again however I would go through some training on how to eat and nutrition as that was not offered to me I would seek out that very much
I have only lost a few lbs but the 50 that I have lost is well worth the effort
