I made this Friday night & it was really good, a hit at my house!

Sweet ‘N’ Sour Meatballs and Cabbage

Meatballs: Bake 375* for 25 to 30 minutes
1 lb Hamburger Meat
2 beaten eggs
1/3 c. Pickle Relish (sweet)
½ Cup Italian Bread Crumbs
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
1 small/medium Onion (finely chopped) *I sautéed the onion*

Cabbage:
2 heads of Cabbage (chopped, shredded or sliced)
*I used 1 head*

Sauce: (combine in a bowl)
2 - 8 oz. Tomato Sauce
½ c. Brown sugar
1/3 c. White Vinegar
¼ tsp. Garlic Powder
1 ½ c. Water

Put Meatballs in a giant pot. Cover with Cabbage, pour sauce over top and cover. Cook on medium heat until Cabbage is tender 30/to 45 minutes.

Note* Sometimes you will have to come back every 10 minute to add the remainder of the Cabbage.

Don’t over stir to combine during cooking or you’ll break up the meatballs.   Serve with Corn bread, sweet or plain.   Enjoy!

*I also served over rice*

Sounds great - and this may be a dumb question...but do you bake the meatballs first, then add to the cabbage?  Or do they cook while the cabbage is cooking?

It's hard to see. In my copy, it is in paragraphs.  OH re-formatted it all into one big paragraph. If you look again though, you will see where it sais to bake the meatballs  at 375 for 25-30 minutes. I actually baked mine a bit longer because I made big ones.
