Thank You for your Prayers
Praising God tonight for taking care of me and I know he was holding my hand!!
I wanted to Thank You all for your continued support, all the outpour of prayers and love. It means so very much to me. YOU are ALL so special to me in so many different ways.
I guess I am alot stronger than I thought I was. My procedure (insertion of a PORT in my chest)
was delayed this morning after they decided due to my current health that putting me to sleep was out of the question. They decided to go ahead with the procedure in the OR and deaden the area. I am such a big baby and pleaded and cried on the way to the OR to no avail. I know they were doing what they felt was best for me considering my current health.
They deaden the left side of my chest and he tried to insert the PORT in that area and he had difficult and he could not do it. So he bandaged that area and started on the right side. He was able to place the port and xrays show it is placed correctly. However they are leaving the PICC line in right now until we are out of the woods with clots. So pray that all goes well this next week and the PICC can come out and the PORT is successful and works the way we need it to.
GOD was there holding my hand and helped me through a very difficult time. I want you to all know that he is present when you need him most!!! It's at the times you know you can't do it - but God Can!!
Home Health will come out tommorrow and train Teddy and I how to use the PORT, how to feel for it (the doctor said this is the only difficult part) and flush and use it. What an Awesome Man God has given me.

Hope things look brighter for you today. My Mama had a port inserted after her PICC lines failed and she went on chemo. Hers was inserted on the right side. The RN's always flushed and maintained her port and she had no problems. I went with her for every treatment and office check and saw how they did it but I would NEVER try to do it myself ( I did everything else). Not with that line leading to the heart
