Believe it or not, I've already got lunch started.  I've got on taters and dumplins and saurkraut and weenies. Yum.  Still gotta make a cake of cornbread for DH!  He had an awesome b'day yesterday even though he did have to work last night.

What are you cooking today?

Morning Elle,

Good to see ya posting.  I've been wondering if you were alright, hope everything is fine.

I just finished up cooking DH lunch and dinner, he is going to have Pineapple water (Mexican drink), steak fajitas on homemade corn tortillas with black beans and rice. I'm on my little diet so it is going to be a cup of Maruchans, water and maybe some raisins for dessert.

I havent felt like cooking in all of this heat so we have been eating out allot but today I was determined to cook.  Thank goodness it is over casted and cool.

Happy late birthday to DH.  By the way your lunch sounds so yummy!!!!  Enjoy and have a great day.

Your lunch sounds even better.  But....what are Manuchans?  Just curious.  I've never heard of it.  Sounds like you really heated up that kitchen.  I had to turn my air down to cool off the house after heating up mine.  I've got the cornbread in the oven cooking now.  DH should be home in a short while.  He will be pleasantly surprised.  I won't be surprised if Holly doesn't high tail it over here after hearing what I've cooked.  It's one of her FAVORITES!

Maruchans are the noodles in a cup.  I like eating them because it gives you one serving.  Pre-portioned food is so much better to be because if I fix it, I'll pile on the yum yums and get bigger and bigger so!  LOL  I love food!  I told my husband last night I am begining to think that food is the devil....LOL!!!!

For lunch I had a German style pizza. It had a very thin crust, topped with spinach. I also had a tiny "dragon fruit" ice cream... well it was called ice cream but it was more of a sorbet than anything else. When I say tiny, it was one spoonful, not one scoop, but man oh man was it good!!

We were going out for dinner but we were too tired after walking around the market so we are home for the night.

Sounds like you're into some interesting new foods over there.  I can't wait to hear more about it.  Please keep us posted on what's going on over there and  what you are seeing and eating.  Sounds like so much fun.  How's the family?

The pizza was much better than it sounds. I dont normally like thin crust but this one was good... and who would have thought that spinach on a pizza would be good?

The family is good. Kelly goes back to the doctor on Tuesday and hopefully will get a good progress report. After being in the hospital twice with premature labor, it looks like she is going to carry full term.

I took pictures of the river at the market but once you've seen a river, you've seen a river.. there's nothing unusual about it.

There's a pope buried in Bamberg. He is the only pope not buried at the Vatican. His coffin was made with a hole through it and it is said if you crawl through it, it will cure back pain. I am going to crawl though it and see if it will cure my shoulder. I know, the rumor is back pain, but it's worth a shot.

Glad to hear the good news about Kelly and baby.  YOu mean you're going to crawl in a grave?  Where is this grave?  A coffin with a hole in it?  Sounds strange, but you go ahead and give it a try.  Wish I could with my shoulder too.  I've re-injured my shoulder toting Christian. He's worth all the pain in the world though.  Uh oh...he's waking up from his nap.  Gotta run...

I've not seen the grave so I dont know much about it but TJ said the coffin was built with a hole though it and that people crawl through it to be cured. I have nothing to lose so I'm gonna give it a try.

If camera's are allowed, I'll get Kelly to take a picture of me crawling through.

As long as you're not crawling underground.  Eww, that's a bit scary to me.  Maybe it's in a mausoleum. :)
