Had Panniculectomy and breast reduction- tell me what is norm

Ok, I know swelling is normal for a long time.  I am 3 weeks post-op. Boob swelling already WAY down. Swelling to my panniculectomy incision is up and down and my weight is yo-yoing drastically.  Tell me it's all fluid.  I hate not getting to exercize, I'm terrified I'm going to lay around and blow up.  I think my hormones are screwed today, but I need some encouragement.  I mean, my belly is WAY smaller already, even with swelling. Dr cut off 10 lbs there and 3 from breasts.  (can I just say noone has ever loved a boob more than me?  My old rocks-in-socks hung to my waist and now they are perky!  ) Anyway, my weight and mood are up and down, should I stop weighing for awhile or what?
 HELP!

First, congrats on your surgery!  I'm just a *little* jealous! LOL!  I would say watch what you're eating (protein first, etc.) you know back to basics and get in alot of water until you're back to where you can exercise.  PS does a real number on you from what I've seen and heard.  Yeah, stay off the scale until you're back to normal.  If you're eating right and getting in your water, you shouldn't worry about it right now. JMHO.

I have had both those procedures done, although not at the same time.
If I remember correctly, the swelling in the breasts lasted for about 3-4 months....
The Panniculactomy--that was another story! The swelling from that probably did not go completely away for six months or longer! You have to be patient and give it time to heal. That is MAJOR surgery with some major incisions and insults to the underlying structures.
Be sure to wear a pressure garment at all times. I ended up going to a sporting goods type store and buying the 3/4 length cycling pants and wearing those under everything! Not only do they promote good healing, they just made it all feel better!

Good Luck and hope you feel better soon!

DONT weight for at least 6 weeks more like 3 months before you can even really see how great it will be.  I had a full TT last Dec and just now can I see really how awesome it turned out ...
Swelling goes on forever it seems...Well worth it in the end..
