Miss Mary on aging.
I've been giving a lot of thought on aging. I'm going to hit a new decade in a few months. So here are a few obervatios from me.
1. As I grow older, I'm thankful for a lot of things. Just think of the state I'd be in if wrinkles hurt.
2. You are over the hill when the opposite sex looks good to you but you don't remember why.
3. One of the blessings of old age is that when your face gets so saggy and wrinkled that you don't like to look at it anymore, your eyesight starts to fail.
4. I know the calander says I'm 59 but I'm really only 35 because I've been taking birthday control pills.
5. I recently gave up coffee, chocolate and men. That was the longest hour of my life.
6. One of the biggest disapointments of my life was finding out that the person who writes the advertising for the bank is not the same one who makes the loans.
7. I have decided that stretch pants on me have no other choice,
8. My cooking doesn't get any better with age. The veterinarian said my cat only has two lives left.
9. I'm not saying that I always get my way because of my age but I do write my diary a week in advance.
10. A friend of mine stopped smoking, drinking, overeating and chasing women-all at the same time. It was a lovely funeral.
11.I saw a friend of mine today and she was dressed in black from head to toe. I asked if her husband had died and she said No but he had been so impossible lately that she went back into morning for her first husband.
12. You've reached old age when your weight lifting consist of standing up
13. One woman who is my age has already had so many face lifts that every time she raises her eyebrows she pulls up her stockings.
14. You know what I can't understand?Here's Adam and Eve. He's incredibly handsome and she is simply beautiful. So where did all the ugly people come from?
15. It's tough to go through life looking like your contents have settled during shipping.
16. I have finally reached the conclusion that it's better to admit my age than keep explaining why I look so bad.
17. Old age is when you know the answers but nobody asks the questions.
18. Old age is when you get out of the shower and you're glad the mirror is fogged up

We need to get together for a birthday party. Miss Princess will be 2 and all three of my cats.will celebrate their 4 th birthday in August. I have no problem getting on the floor wrestling it's the getting out of the floor that gets harder to do all the time.
I go back to the doctor next week I do expect a good report but still want to find out about the knot in my throat. Doesn't hurt just bothersome. The next week I go back to my surgeon. He does the same song every year. Lose weight, lose weight. lose weight. I weigh 135-140 but he wants me down to 120-125. But I look and feel better at 135. It's hard to believe 4 year have gone by.
I finish up my driving for summer school tomorrow. Then I get a week off before school starts. Tell Brenda I said hi and kiss the babies for me. I'll try to get over that way soon. I plan on making a trip to the Social Security office soon. I'll call before I come. Love You, Mary
