UPDATE...Could you pray
WOW!! What a day with this young man. I saw God move in a wonderful way in this home. I called his mom to make sure she knew I was picking him up from where he was. She thanked me for letting her know. I have not dealt with such an issue before as Youth Pastor. The young man spent the entire day with me. You see, this young man has already had a special place in my heart. He's one of MY youngun's. I see all of my Youth Group this way. I picked him up around 8 a.m. from the home he was in. He went to church with me and then came home with us after church. I got him to open up and talk to me. I was able to get to the root of his anger and his "hatred". MAN! What this young man has had to deal with. I can't really go into details. I prayed with him and he seemed "ok". After church last night, His mom called as we were getting out of church. She wanted me to bring him home. I told her that was my intentions and we were on our way. He began to cry. I got him to open up more. When we got there, his mom was outside waiting. She held him and hugged him tightly. He pulled away and said he was going for a walk. I talked to him because I knew what he had in mind. I told him to stop and listen to his mom and I. His walks as he calls them makes HIM think HIS way. He listened to us. I told him I was counting on him to TURN his life around and deal with the root of his anger. Only God can help him let go of all the hurt and pain he has to deal with. He began to cry again. Before I left his home, his Mom, myself, and he were all crying and he promised to change and get help. They are going today to seek a Christian counselor. I'm only a man. I'm only a Daddy and THIS is way over my head. He is probably going to in house counceling for 30 days. PLEASE keep him in your prayers. If there were ANY way possible, I would bring this young man into my home to live. There is just no way I can with Allison here. You see, this is her young "boyfriend". I told him I WILL NOT allow him to keep seeing or calling my daughter until he gets help. She broke off the relationship in front of me. I was proud of her reason. She told him she would not have this in her life nor would she be with someone that had such a temper. He cares enough about himself now, along with Allison, to seek help. He wants this and when you want change/help, that is a HUGE step. Please pray for Tanner! This young man has serious deep hurts. Thank you in advance! I saw God do a miracle yesterday. I wish I had the space and time to tell you all what all happened. The opening up. They crying. The pain and hurt. Just know God blessed this home in a way they never have seen before. From the stepfather to the younger son, they will NEVER be the same again!! THank you all for your prayers yesterday! We all felt them. I know you will continue!
I LOVE THIS BAMA FAMILY!

Oh Randall...I just knew that this is who the young man was. I knew from the hospital visit that there were deep deep problems. I have been praying that God would touch his heart. I know that is what is happening now and I am praying that he will get the help he needs and allow God to lead and guide his life. He will remain in my prayers.
I knew you would pick up on it. I wanted a chance to say something to you while Allison was in the hospital. Tanner needs a miracle and he is now ready for it. He sees the problem, knows where it is coming from, and knows he needs help. Thanks for praying for him. Love ya!

Yesterday when I said I understood your situation , I told you about the 2 young boys my brother took into his home. My neice had a short-lived first marriage. She divorced after only 9 months. Deep in her heart she loved this young man that had lived with her family for so long. His life had forever changed because of the love and guidance he received from my brother and SIL. She is now very happily married to this young man and together they have 2 adorable little boys.
While bringing this young boy into your home might not be the right thing for you to do, he certainly is meant to be in your life. Follow your heart and let God work through you. YOU will forever be blessed for it and so will these kids.

What a wonderful story Gwen. God is more than able to turn ANY situation around. I know that God is changing Tanner and that he was put in our paths for a reason. If only to allow God the chance to deliver him from his past and his anger. God is working! You're right! I am so blessed by what I see happening. Love ya Gwen!

Randall..
I cried reading this feeling GOD move in your post, feeling the pain for Tanner, Allison, the Family.
I pray they really find the help Tanner so deserves.
You see... I grew up in an obesive home. My brother so full of anger - we thought found help at about Tanner's age.. but to see him now with his wife and son... I told him he needs to work hard not to spread the anger and hate on to another generation. It cycles thru.. and you have to work hard to change your life. To deal with what you went thru.
When God came in to my life he helped to clean out all the pain, the hurt and heal my heart because he was the only one who could do that.
God can make it all whole again.
My Dad came to Oak Mtn. I had not seen him in years (and I've only heard from him once since then asking for the pictures that day). I reached out to him to "Honor my Parents" or maybe even more than that..to Honor what God had done in my life. Help me let go - and heal me in more ways than even I knew. I thought maybe it was to begin a relationship with this man who had broken bones in my body, broken me inside in ways no one really knows.. but it wasn't.
It was knowing that God has loved me, forgiven me for all my sins and showing that love to someone else.
Yes you are a MAN Randall but so much more than that is that God has used you to begin a step that only GOD can help make. A Step to let go - to getting on to a road of love and forgiveness. And believe me the road is not easy - but so Worth it!!!
I am praying for Tanner - and knowing that God is in control!!
Thank You for updating us - and letting me share how wonderful GOD can really be for a child who has lived in it - through it - and knowing that GOD can overcome anything if you give it all over to him!!
