Seven years ago I was 1 week out of surgery when Jordan (my grandson) celebrated his 1st birthday.  Today he is a beautiful 8 year old that doesn't remember what Grandma loked like before.  His younger brother and sister were born after my surgery so they have never seen fat Grandma except in photos.  I have to brag on my grandkids.  They are my world.  Here they are today fishing in the heat   Who wants to join me in sharing their little blessings

Those are some beautiful kids. I have only been blessed with  1 grandchild so far. She is nearly 11 years old and has never seen me as anything but overweight, two weeks or so ago  she said "Memaw, I can get my arms all the way around you". It was a real eye opener for me. Since then she has asked me if I am losing weight and I told her about my surgery. There is really something so special about grandchildren isn't it? Makes life so much sweeter knowing we have taken this huge step to make sure we are around to see them grow up and maybe give us some great grandchildren.

Shannon is my supervisor here at OH.  I frequently send her a message to watch for Fed-Ex because I am sending all 3 of mine to her   I would not trade them for all the rice in China but lawsy lawsy do they ever wear me out.  It is after 10:30 and they are still going strong.  I am ready for bed and they act like it is the middle of the afternoon.    I just wonder where they years went?   Their Mama should still be a toddler.

The little one just came in and said BE SURE AND CLICK THE LITTLE PICTURE so you can see her fish full size.   FED-EX, here they come

You don't have to tell me about how great and wonderful those grand babies are. I have 4 of the most awesome fellows that you have ever seen. There is no love like the love of our babies. I will have all 4 of mine with me for a few days this coming week.  I will not have a clean house until they leave. When my babies are with me I do what they want to do and forget about everthing else. They will not remember if the bed wasn't made.
Sure is a handsome bunch. I bet they got their good looks from the grandmother.

Louise, I wish I could take credit for their good looks but I can't. I just fed their Mama until she looked like me   My house is a wreck, dirty dishes every where you look with laundry piled up all over the place.  Doors slam to the point we think the hinges will come off.  The birds cringe when they hear that Durango pulling up outside   I wouldn't have it any other way.   I am so tired right now.  I love to see the headlights coming but love those tail lights even more when they are headed back to Bama but the the house is soooo quiet.

I know that feeling all to well. Love to see them come and glad for them to go. That is ffor about as long as it takes them to get to the interstate which is less than 2 miles and I am so ready to see them again. With Kaleb in South Ga and Landon, Hayden, and Austin in Bude Ms it is just to far to see them ever other week. I guess I need to move closer, but which way?

Your grandbabies are beautiful!  We have a pond behind our house and it is always so fun to watch my boys fishing.

Thanks for sharing

I have a friend that was married over 15 years before she ever had her son.  She was older when she finally had a grandchild.  She was the funniest thing.  She said she has listened to all these other women "crow" about their wonderful grandchildren and now they could sit down and listen to her because it was HER TURN.  Keep on bragging.  We earned the right

Such beautiful grandbabies.   I know how special those grandkids are.  Mine are about grown....14 and 18, but they are still my babies.
