Introducing
WHOA.....it is not my birthday...YET!
I do have the big 50 coming up, but not until September!
Don't rush that one.
Yeah..the pretty bird is looking a lot like you. The boy birds just have more color and are brighter and prettier.
They also sing more and talk more....
Totally opposite from the human species!

Uh oh.....I thought when Jackie was wishing Carolyn a happy birthday the other day that it was for YOU! I guess I got the wrong Carolyn in mind. Sorry! I promise not to rush that 50th on you. What are you going to do to celebrate your 50th? Are you taking a cruise this year? I think we are going to take Jill on a Mexico cruise for her graduation. We took Holly to the Bahamas for hers 2 year ago and Jill said she would like to go to Mexico. I've got to start looking into it and find the best deals. Any suggestions?
I have not looked at cruises lately. I had heard that the prices of them went up a good bit with the fuel increases and that on top of the cruise price increases--they are adding on fuel surcharges on top of the fares. Read the find print on everything you consider ....
I am sure though, cruising is still a good value for what you get!

My Max is a sweetie. Loretta Dell and Max and Hank were rescue birds. They had not been treated the best in the world. We already had Bocephus. We have decided to keep Max and Loretta Dell and are trying to rehome Bo and Hank. If anyone can give a good home to a ****atiel--let me know They are hilarious birds. Hank can wolf whistle and Bo can sound like a Bob White Quail

The lady that had these birds didn't meant to abuse them but she wasn't taking proper care of them either. She had all 3 in a cage that was way to small for them and Miss Loretta Dell (she never had a name before) was frequently kept away from the feed tray. The males picked at her and she was very shy. They were all under fed and dull looking. The lady had cancer and honestly could not care for them properly. It wasn't willful neglect on her part. She was to ill to properly care for them and her grandson that she is raising. When she came to us about them, she was going to just turn them out of the cage and let them fly. We could not let that happen to them so now we have 4 tiels. Hopefully we can rehome 2 of them to good families that will love them and give them a good life
I understand about the small cage. I like to give my bird his freedom...during the day, he is in a Midwest 2020 cage. It is a large cage for a ****atiel--more for an African Grey or that size bird, but I want my bird to have plenty of room to move around and to flap his wings without getting injured. The bar spacing on it is just right for a ****atiel though. At night, the spolied brat sleeps in my bedroom in a 17X24 cage---not too small either.
I do take him out of the cage, usually for an couple of hours each evening and let him play in the bedroom---safely away from the CAT!
I sure wish I could take on more birds or even that I knew someone who would take them and provide a good home for them, but right off--I don't know of anyone. If I think of anyone, I will let you know.
Good Luck with your feathered friends!
